How to Install a 3rd party theme for Windows 7 -

Have you ever tried to  interface of windows 7 with using themes. Normally in windows 7 by using themes(files with extension .themepack) you can only change the wallpaper etc. But in Windows 7 also you can use 3rd party themes (files with extension .theme) to change the interface. Let's learn how to do it.

In installing 3rd party themes for Windows 7 it is necessary to patch three system files uxtheme.dll, themeui.dll, themeservice.dll .Therefore I recommend you to backup these 3 files first. Let's do it.

Step #1. First we have to go to C:\Windows\system32\ folder and find uxtheme.dll, themeui.dll and themeservice.dll . Then we can simply copy and paste these files to somewhere as a backup)

Step #2. Now download 'UXStyle Core' and install it. This is the software which allow you to run 3rd-party themes. Download it from here.

Step #3. Then download and Install ‘Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package’.
Download it for Windows x64 or Windows7 x86.

Step #4. Now reboot your computer.

Step #5. Now you have to copy your 3rd party theme's complete folder C:\Windows\Resources\Themes.

Step #6. And also you can change the Start Button also. See How to change the Windows 7 Start Button.

Enjoy...
